Garowe police arrest wanted man for rape in Galdogob district

Garowe-(Puntland Mirror) Garowe police on Monday arrested one of the local boys who raped 16-year old girl in Galdogob district last month, Garowe police commissioner Mohamoud Muse Bile also called (Fardaful) told Puntland Mirror over phone.

The Garowe security police arrested the man after they raided a household in first August village of Garowe, according to the police commissioner.

The man arrested by police, has escaped from the district after the incident, but the police were hunting him.

This comes a day after an Islamic court in Galdogob convicted five local boys who are accused of raping and stabbing a 16-year-old girl in Galdogob district of Mudug region.

The victim remains in hospital in Galkayo town for further treatment, according to the sources.
