Al-Shabab blast kills at least 10 in Mogadishu

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) At least 10 people were killed in blast in Mogadishu on Saturday, security and medical sources said.

A car packed with explosives detonated at the gates of the compound of Somali Interior Ministry, followed by gunfire.

Security forces killed three attackers during the struggle at the compound, according to sources.

Civilians and government workers were among those killed in the attack, medical officials told to Puntland Mirror.

More than 15 people also wounded in the Saturday’s attack, which was the deadliest blast in Mogadishu in the last three months.

The Al-Shabab militant group has claimed the responsibility for the attack, pro-Al-Shabab media reported.
