Speaking to reporters at Garowe airport, Puntland President said his visit to UAE is related to strengthening trade relations between Puntland and UAE.
The President also stated that he will meet with the officials of the DP World, which signed a deal with the Puntland government to manage and develop Bosaso port.
During his visit to the UAE, Puntland President and the UAE leaders are expected to discuss security issues, Deni added.
The UAE has been supporting Puntland Maritime Police Force, who battles pirates and militants.
This is the first overseas trip since Said Abdullahi Deni took office in January 2019.
