Somalia’s political leaders meeting open in Mogadishu

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somalia’s national forum between the Somali political leaders opened on Wednesday in the capital, Mogadishu.

The meeting was attended by Somali President, Prime Minister, and the Presidents of Puntland, Jubaland, South West and vice president of Galmudug.

Somali Electoral Commission also attended the meeting, which is expected to be present the technical planning and implementation of the electoral process.

During the meeting, the most important things that will be discussed include, the date of the elections.

Somalia is planning to hold presidential and parliamentary elections before the end of the year.

The current President, Hassan Sheikh Mohamoud say he will run again for the Somali president in 2016.

Mohamoud was elected as a Somali President in September, 2012 in Mogadishu, and his term will end on September 9, 2016.
