Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) The death toll from a car bomb that detonated at army checkpoint near Somalia’s presidential palace in Mogadishu on Tuesday, has reached to 10, medical sources say.
Twenty other people, including soldiers and civilians were wounded in the attack on Tuesday, as medical officials in Mogadishu told Puntland Mirror by phone.
Most of the people killed in the attack were reported to be civilians. At least five security officers were also murdered in the attack, according to the sources.
Al-Shabab armed group has claimed the responsibility for the Tuesday’s bombing, through a statement on its radio station, Radio Andalus.
