Garowe-(Puntland Mirror) Heavy fighting between Puntland and Somaliland forces erupted in Boda-Cade area of Sanaag region, residents and officials reported.
The development came after Puntland accused Somaliland of violating its borders in Sanaag and Hayland regions and warned it would face consequences if such violations continue.
Puntland and Somaliland forces have fought in Sanaag region in 2007.
No immediate reports of casualties were available.
