Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somalia’s new federal parliament on Saturday chosen the election committee for the new speaker of the parliament.

Five teen members of the parliament were elected as the election committee for the new speaker of the parliament, which is expected to take place in the coming days.

The current speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari and the state minister of interior and federal affairs Abdirashid Mohamed Xidig are running for speaker.
