Somalia: lower house elections begin in Mogadishu

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) The poll to select the members representing Banaadiri clans and Somaliland in the upcoming lower house of the Somali federal parliament have started in the Somali capital, Mogadishu on Wednesday.

The Somalia’s regional states have started the lower house elections earlier this month and are yet to conclude the process.

So far 170 of Somali lower house members have been elected. The lower house consists of 275 members.
