Somali PM urged to combat corruption

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somalia’s Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre has urged Somali people to fight corruption as matter of urgency.

“I urge the Somali people to combat corruption, which is a disaster in Somalia.”  Khayre said during Mogadishu meeting to help people affected by drought.

Since he was appointed as Prime Minister of Somalia, Khayre promised in number of gatherings to tighten his belt in struggle against corruption in the country particularly his government.

Meanwhile, Somali President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo promised to combat corruption during his election campaign.

Somalia is the most corrupt country in the world, according to Transparency International’s recent report.
