Puntland police force launch security operation in Bosaso town

Bosaso-(Puntland Mirror) Puntland police force on Thursday began security operation in Bosaso port town of Bari region, official said.

At a press conference in Bosaso, Puntland police force chief Muhiyadin Ahmed Muse said the operation was intended to target terrorists in the town.

The operation came a few days after armed man shot dead Paul Anthony Fermosa, a Maltese national, who was the manager of the DP World at Bosaso port. Al-Shabab militant group said it was behind the killing.

Speaking to reporters in Garowe after the attack, Puntland President Saeed Abdullahi Deni vowed to punish everyone involved in the incident.
