Puntland frees traditional leader Abdikadir Harago after two weeks in prison

Bosaso-(Puntland Mirror) local traditional leader, Abdikadir Ibrahim Harago imprisoned in Bosaso jail for more than two weeks, has been released, as government sources told Puntland Mirror.

Mr Harago was arrested at his home in Bosaso on February 25 this year when he gave an interview to the VOA Somali in which he accused the Puntland government of beating Al-Shabab prisoners in the Bosaso jail to confess their crimes. 

last week, speaking to VOA Somali service Puntland’s President Abdiweli Mohamed Ali has denied allegations that accuse Puntland of torturing prisoners in the jails.
