Nairobi-(Puntland Mirror) Kenya’s army said it killed 31 al-Shabaab fighters in an attack at Baardhere town of Gedo region in southern Somalia.
According to the Kenya’s army spokesman Col Joseph Owuoth, The air and ground attack was carried out on Sunday.
Weapons including 11 AK-47 assault rifles and four improvised explosive devices were seized after the raids, according to the spokesman.

Kenyan forces began an invasion into southern Somalia in 2011 to fight al-Shabaab, which continue to carry out cross-border raids in areas including northeastern Kenya.
