Four Al-Shabab fighters killed in U.S. airstrike in Lower Juba region

In a statement issued on Sunday, U.S. Africa Command said the strike occurred in the vicinity of Araara in Lower Jubba region on Saturday.

The U.S. Africa Command added no civilians were injured or killed in the airstrike.

“The airstrike was conducted after armed militants were maneuvering to attack partner forces during a patrol. No U.S. service members were present on the ground during this Somali-led operation.” it said in a statement.
