Kismayo-(Puntland Mirror) Al-Shabab armed group publicly killed four men accused of spying for the Somali government, residents and Al-Shabab officials confirmed.

The execution took place at a square in the town of Jamame district of lower Jubba region, which lies around 70 km north of Kismayo port town.

“The court ruled on their cases and four of the men were executed publicly in Jamame District according to the Sharia this (Sunday) afternoon,” Mohamed Abu Abdalla, al Shabaab’s governor for the Jubba region said as cited by Reuters news agency.

He added that the four men admitted they were spies.

Last month, two men were publicly executed by Al-Shabab for committing a homosexual doing.
