Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) The Federal Government of Somalia has condemned recent actions by the Ethiopian government, accusing it of undermining Somalia’s security and sovereignty.

In a statement, the Ministry of Information accused Ethiopia of violating international laws and Somalia’s independence.

The Somali government cited provocative actions by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed, claiming these have destabilized the country. The accusations include smuggling illegal arms into Somalia and mobilizing Somali militias within Ethiopia to incite conflict.

The statement also highlighted an incident in which two Ethiopian planes, reportedly carrying illegal weapons, landed in Kismayo. The aircraft, operated by an Ethiopian airline, allegedly carried individuals including former Jubaland Vice President Mohamed Sayid Aden, suspected of collaborating with Ethiopia to destabilize Somalia.

The Somali government warned those collaborating with foreign enemies would face legal consequences. The statement concluded by reaffirming Somalia’s commitment to defending its territorial integrity and sovereignty, vowing resistance to any foreign interference.
