“Puntland Security Forces (PSF) carried out anti-Al-Shabab operation in Maraje area in Al-Madow Mountains in response to overnight attack against Puntland’s PMPF army base,” PSF said in a statement.
“41 Al-Shabab terrorists were killed during the Saturday’s operation in the Maraje area,” the statement added.
On Saturday, at least five Puntland soldiers died after Al-Shabab militants attacked an army base in Bali-Khadar area in Galgala Mountains, military sources told Puntland Mirror.
