Garoowe-(Puntland Mirror) Unidentified warplanes have bombed Galgala Mountains in Puntland during the last two days, residents said.
“Unknown fighter jets have bombed in Almadow Mountains of Galgala,” resident speaking on condition of anonymity told VOA Somalia.
He added that hundreds of inhabitants fled their homes fearing the airstrikes targeting al-Shabab militants in Galagala.
Puntland government forces had no immediate comment on the bombing.
Puntland forces have been fighting al-Shabab fighters in Galaga Mountains since 2010.
