Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) The meeting between the leaders of Somalia’s federal government and regional states kicked off on Saturday in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.
The meeting is attended by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo, Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre and presidents of Puntland, Jubaland, South West, Galmudug and Hirshebelle.
The severe drought hit across the country and security issues such as Al-Shabab fighting are expected to be the main agenda of the meeting.
Similarly, for the duration of the conference, the leaders will discuss a summit about Somalia, which will be held in London on May 11 this year, hosted by UK.
This is the first meeting between the leaders of Somalia’s federal government and regional states since President Farmajo elected in March this year.
