Puntland’s Galkayo local councilman shot dead in Galkayo

Galkayo-(Puntland Mirror) unidentified gunmen have a shot dead a member of Puntland’s Galkayo local council in an attack in Galkayo town of Mudug region. Official said.

A police official, who asked not to be named, told to Puntland Mirror that the three men armed with pistols was shot him near his home in Garsoor village on Sunday evening.

It named the dead local councilman as Said Hayle.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility but the killings are the latest a series of assassinations of Puntland officials in Galkayo town.
