Jubbland: lower house elections concluded in Kismayo town

Kismayo-(Puntland Mirror) The poll to select the members representing Jubbaland administration in the upcoming lower house of the Somali federal parliament concluded in Kismayo port town on Thursday.

A number of 2.193 delegations took part in the elections, which voted 43 members of Jubbaland in the lower house of the Somali federal parliament. Among Jubbland’s 43 upper house members are ten women.

Kismayo administration becomes the first Somali regional state to complete the selection of members allocated to it in the upper house of Somalia.
