“The security situation in Galkayo remains calm… there is no fighting in the town,” a resident who asked not to be named told Puntland Mirror.
“Hundreds of people in the southern part of the town had started fleeing their homes due to the fighting.” A resident added.
At least 13 people have been killed and more than 20 others wounded during the week-long fight.
