Al-Shabab says it seized U.S drone

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Al-Shabab armed group says it had seized drone after it crashed an area near Kismayo town of Lower Juba region in southern Somalia.

It is not clear what brought down the drone and the owner of the country, but the group said that the drone used by the United States to survey and surveillance.

On June, 2016, Al-Shabab has captured armed drone after it crashed in Lower Shabelle region of southern Somalia.

The U.S has been using drones to attack Al-Shabab militants in the southern Somalia. In September 2014, the group’s masterful leader, Ahmed Abdi Godane also known as Abu-subayr was killed by a U.S drone strike.
