In the statement, PSF said the operation against Al-Shabab militants took place in the areas of Dhadhabo, Ceeldibir, Durduri, Harweyn, Karin, Madarshoon and Diindigle in the Galgala Mountains.
The arrested members were taken to Bosaso to investigating, PSF added.
Al-Shabab militants said it carried out an attack on police station in Bosaso on Tuesday, wounding four soldiers.
However, Puntland forces are battling Al-Shabab militants in the Galgala Mountains since 2010.
