Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) At least 10 Al-Shabab militants killed in U.S. airstrike, U.S. Africa Command said in a statement on Thursday. The attack happened about 15 miles southwest of Mogadishu on Wednesday, according to U.S. Africa Command, adding that no civilians were killed in the airstrike.

Garowe-(Puntland Mirror) A heavy fighting between the forces of Puntland and Somaliland erupted in Tukarak area of Sool region on Thursday morning, military sources confirmed to Puntland Mirror. There are several soldiers from Puntland and Somaliland who were killed in the Thursday’s fighting, but the death toll could not be independently confirmed by Puntland Mirror.

Galkayo-(Puntland Mirror) Gunman shot dead Puntland lawmaker in Galkayo town of Mudug region on Wednesday evening, security sources told Puntland. Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) A suicide car bomber hit a military convoy outside Mogadishu on Tuesday, Reuters news agency reported, citing police officials. The attack occurred in Afgoye, an agricultural district about 30 km northwest of Mogadishu, according to Reuters report. There were fatalities but the exact number is not yet clear, the report added.
