Somali security forces foil car bomb attack in Mogadishu

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somalia’s intelligence forces have foiled a suspected al-Shabab car bomb attack after the forces conducted and operation in Warta Nabada district in the Somali capital, Mogadishu, official said.

Spokesman of the Banadir regional administration, Abdifahah Omar Halane who spoke to the reporters in Mogadishu said its forces have succeed to hold a car bomb and confiscated all explosive devices loaded on it.

Somali government forces backed by AMISOM forces removed al-Shabab fighters from the capital Mogadishu in 2011, but the group often carries out deadly attacks against government headquarters and social gatherings like hotels and restaurants.
