Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somali police have arrested two suspected al-Shabab after the forces conducted a special operation at Mosque in Yakhshid district of the capital Mogadishu, official said.

The police chief of Yakhshid, Mohamed Yusuf Nor told to the Somali National News Agency that the two men concealed pistols on the cliff tower of the mosque.

“Community members provided us information towards those Shabaab suspects, and then we conducted our operation inside a mosque in Yakshid and recovered the hidden guns on tower, and arrested them, investigation is under way”, Mr. Yusuf told Sonna.

Al-Shabab militants has been removed from the capital Mogadishu in 2011, but still carries out deadly attacks against Somali government officials, AMISOM bases and community gatherings.
