Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somalia’s Prime Minister Omar Abdirashid Ali Sharmake has fired two female ministers.
The ministers who lost their jobs are minister of education, Khadro Bashir Ali and minister of health, Hawo Hassan Mohamed.
Abdirashid Abdi Hashi was appointed minister of education; PM Sharmake has also appointed Mohamed Haji Abdinur as health minister.
According to the presidential statement, President Mohamoud has accepted the dismissal of the PM made.
The firing comes a time when Somali women are seeking more political participation in 2016 elections.
