A total of 231 MPs were attended the session, all of them approved the appointment of the new Prime Minister, Somalia’s parliament speaker Mohamed Osman Jawari announced.
The new PM was sworn into office rapidly after the result.
After the voting results were announced, Mr. Khayre acknowledged for the MPs who voted for his appointment.
Hassan Ali Khayre was appointed Prime Minister by President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmajo last week.
