Somali Islamic scholar shot dead in Mogadishu

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Unknown gunmen have shot dead a religious man working for state-run media in Mogadishu on Saturday.

Sheikh Omar Hussein Hassan, a presenter of religious programs, was gunned down outside a mosque in Hamar Jajab. The attackers managed to escape the scene after the killing, according to the witnesses.

Last, June Sagal Salad Osman a presenter and producer for state-run Radio Mogadishu, was shot dead in Mogadishu.

There is no group has claimed the responsibility for the attack, but Somali security officials blamed the al-Shabab militants for the assassinations
