Garowe-(Puntland Mirror) Puntland security agents has shut down Radio Daljir branch in the Puntland capital, Garowe and ordered its journalists to leave a building they were residing.

Reasons behind the closure is still yet unclear, but the development comes one week later after the Radio station interview with former Bari governor, Abdisamad Mohamed Gallan who the government accused of acts of insecurity.

Radio Daljir is the largest FM radio in Puntland towns. It mostly broadcasts political programmes, but it also airs business and humanitarian news.

Somalia is one of the most dangerous countries for journalists to operate.
