Puntland forces battle Al-Shabab fighters in Galgala Mountains

A security official, who asked not to be named, told Puntland Mirror that the fighting erupted after Al-Shabab fighters attacked Puntland military base in Af-uruurshe area of Galgala Mountains in Bari region.

The officer declined to comment on whether there were casualties from the battle.

The battle between the Puntland government forces and Al-Shabab militants in Galgala Mountains has continued since 2010.
