Garowe-(Puntland) Somali Muslims are preparing to celebrate Eid al-Fitr, marking the ending of the holy fasting month of Ramadan.

In the Puntland capital, Garowe families bustle around preparing for the festivities and markets are also busy.

The Eid holiday is expected to begin on Wednesday July the 6th as major Muslim nations in the world, including Saudi Arabia and our country “Somalia” said the Eid festival will begin in their countries on Wednesday.
