Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somalia’s state minister for environmental issue was among at least 17 people who were on Saturday afternoon killed in the Nasa-hablod hotel in the Somali capital, Mogadishu.

Somalia’s state news agency Sonna said the minister was at the hotel where the attack occurred.

It named the dead state minister as Buri Mohamed Hamza who was also the MP of the Somali federal government.

Al-Qaeda linked group al-Shabab has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
