German Navy armed personnel stand in front of the Frigate Hamburg, docked at Port Rashid, in Dubai May 26, 2013. The Hamburg sailed in January from Germany to the Gulf to deploy in cooperation with the U.S. Navy’s Dwight D. Eisenhower Carrier Strike Group in the Gulf. The Hamburg helps to defend the aircraft carrier and its associated vessels by coordinating the airspace around the strike group.
