Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) A roadside bomb has killed at least three Somali government forces during an operation against Al-Shabab militants in the outskirts of the town of Shalanbood in the Lower Shabelle region on Monday.
Reuters news agency quoted Somali military official saying the blast killed three of soldiers and injured four others.
Al-Shabab armed group claimed the responsibility for the attack, A-Shabaab’s military operations spokesman, Sheikh Abdiasis Abu Musab said, as quoted by Reuters.
The attack came shortly before President Mohamed Abdullahi’s visit to Afgoye town in Lower Shabelle region.
