The strike occurred about 50 kilometers northwest of Kismayo port town Thursday, US Africa Command said in a statement, adding no civilians were killed in this strike.
Last year, dozens of Al-Shabab militants were killed in airstrikes, carried out by US, which promised to continue counterterrorism operations against terrorists in Somalia.
