Kismayo-(Puntland Mirror) At least three people have been killed and seven others wounded when a roadside bomb went off on the outskirts of Kismayo town in Lower Juba region.
According to the sources, the incident happened after a bus carrying civilians hit a roadside bomb on the outskirts of Kismayo on Wednesday morning.
No group has claimed the responsibility for Wednesday’s incident, but roadside bombs, which often cause civilian casualties, have been the Al-Shabab’s gun of choice in their 10-year war against Somali federal government and regional administrations.
Al-Shabab militants was pushed out of Kismayo in 2012 by Kenyan troops and Jubaland forces, but hundreds of Al-Shabab fighters still active in the outskirts of the town.
