Somali security forces arrest 5 al-Shabab members in Mogadishu

Mogadishu-(Puntland Mirror) Somali National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) has arrested five members of al-Shabab militants after the NISA forces conducted operation in Suuqa Xoolaha area in Yakhsid district of Banadir region, official said.

Abdikamil Moalim Shukri, Spokesman of the Ministry of security told reporters in Mogadishu that the security forces conducted the operation in several neighborhoods in the district.

“The Security forces managed to hold five Al-Shabaab militants and protect an explosion in which the militants were using a three wheel motorcycle, it exploded and killed its driver who was Al-Shabaab”, Mr. Shukri said.

Al-Qaeda linked group, al-Shabab increases its attacks during the holy month of Ramadan.
