The attack took place on Tuesday, about 50 kilometers west of the capital, Mogadishu, killing two Al-Shabaab fighters.
A car packed with explosives was also destroyed in the airstrike, according to US Africa Command.
This is the first US airstrike against Al-Shabab militants in New Year 2018.
